Plans we offer

Two ways to get covered. We'll show you both.

Most agents sell one or the other. We're contracted for private plans and certified for the Marketplace, so the recommendation follows your situation, not our inventory.

Private health plansOur specialty

Private PPO plans

Off-exchange plans from national carriers, available through licensed brokers. Often a strong fit for healthy self-employed people who earn too much for meaningful ACA savings.

  • National PPO networks available on many plans
  • Apply year-round, no Open Enrollment window
  • Coverage can start in as little as days after approval
  • Most require health questions. Some limit pre-existing conditions
ACA MarketplaceFFM-certified

ACA Marketplace plans

Government-regulated plans with income-based savings. We're certified to enroll individuals and families and to help estimate what you qualify for.

  • Premium tax credits based on household income
  • Pre-existing conditions are always covered
  • All ten essential health benefits included
  • Enroll during Open Enrollment or with a qualifying life event
Life insuranceTerm · Whole life · IUL

Life insurance, including IUL

Protection for the people who depend on your income. We compare term, whole life and indexed universal life (IUL) from national carriers, and explain in plain terms how each policy works before you apply.

  • Term life for a set number of years at a fixed premium
  • Whole life and IUL for coverage designed to last your lifetime
  • IUL cash value can earn interest linked to a market index, with a floor against index losses
  • Approval and rates depend on age and health. IUL has caps and policy charges and is not a direct investment in the market
Who we help

Built for people without an HR department.

We help individuals and families of every kind. Our specialty is the self-employed, because that's where the choices are hardest and the generic advice is worst.

Our specialty

Self-employed & 1099 earners

Contractors, consultants, real estate and insurance agents, creators, drivers and freelancers. When income moves month to month, the right plan depends on numbers most agents never ask about.

  • Private PPO and ACA compared on the same screen
  • Help projecting ACA savings from variable income
  • Coverage that stays with you between clients
  • A review every year as your income changes
Households

Individuals & families

One plan for the whole household, or separate plans when that costs less.

Owners

Small business owners

Coverage for you and your family, with options for a small team where available.

Transition

Leaving a job

Alternatives to COBRA and help using a Special Enrollment Period.

Pre-Medicare

Early retirees

Bridge coverage from your last day of work until Medicare starts.

How it works

The same procedure for every client.

The name is the promise. Four steps, in the same order, whether you need one plan or a family of five covered.

We complete the application with you and stay your point of contact at renewal and when life changes.

Start with step one. It takes about 90 seconds.

Why an independent broker

More options than going direct. Same price.

Premiums are set by the carrier and filed with the state, so buying through a broker doesn't cost more. What changes is how many options you see and who you call afterward.

Questions

Answers before you call.

Don't see your question? Ask it on the call. There's no obligation to enroll.

What does it cost to work with you?
Nothing. Licensed brokers are paid by the insurance company when a policy is placed. Premiums are set by the carrier, and working with us does not add a fee.
What are private PPO plans?
They're health plans sold outside the ACA Marketplace by national carriers, through licensed brokers. Many use national PPO networks and accept applications year-round. Most ask health questions, and some limit coverage for pre-existing conditions, so we'll walk you through exactly what a plan does and doesn't cover.
Can you help with ACA Marketplace plans too?
Yes. We're FFM-certified to enroll individuals and families in Marketplace plans and to help estimate the premium tax credit you may qualify for.
Are the prices on this site quotes?
We don't show prices on the site. Premiums depend on age, location and household, and for some plans on health history. You'll see actual carrier rates during your review, and coverage isn't in force until the carrier approves your application.
Can I get coverage outside Open Enrollment?
Often, yes. Private plans accept applications year-round, subject to approval. Marketplace plans require Open Enrollment or a Special Enrollment Period after a qualifying event such as losing other coverage, moving or having a baby.
Will you sell my information?
No. Your details go to Standard Procedure Healthcare only and are used to contact you about the coverage you asked for. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
